Should I strip cable insulation before selling?
Only if your time is worth less than the grade increase. For thick copper cable, stripping can pay off; for thin building wire it rarely does. We quote for cable as-is — you decide.
How do you price insulated cable?
By its metal yield: conductor metal, conductor size and insulation weight set the grade. Two cables of equal weight can price very differently, which is why we ask for photos of the cable ends.
Do you buy burnt cable?
Burnt cable is priced at a lower grade because burning degrades the conductor and creates contamination. We can assess it from clear photos.
