Clean, bare bright copper wire and unpainted, unsoldered pipe are typically the top grades. Insulated cable and copper with solder, paint or corrosion price lower because they need processing.
Do you buy copper still inside AC coils and units?
Yes — coils and complete units are bought as their own grades. If copper tube has already been separated, it is assessed as its own higher grade.
Should I strip my copper cable before selling?
Stripping raises the grade of the copper itself, but it takes real time and effort. Send us a photo of the cable as it is — we will quote for it unstripped, and you can decide whether stripping is worth your time.
